With the creative or professional in mind, I designed the “artisan tote” to accommodate the organization of such things as laptops, files, books, notepads, writing/art supplies and even a bottle of wine … all carried in unique and absolutely elegant style!
My creative/production process is one of patience ~ infusing each with my own aesthetic inspiration and spiritual energy.
And as they are made of repurposed designer textile, embellishment and leather remnants … they are *environmentally responsible, and one to two of a kind.
*Textile waste imposes significant economic and environmental burdens. In 2024, the world discarded enough clothing alone to fill more than 200 Olympic stadiums, approximately 120 metric tons – with only 12% being reused, less than 1% recycled into new fibers and the rest getting incinerated, or buried in landfills (some taking up to 200+ years to decompose). Annually, $150 billion in raw materials value is lost – resources that are extracted, processed, and then quickly discarded. The textile sector is estimated to be responsible for 20% of global clean water pollution – the third largest source of water degradation and land use in 2020. “Fast-fashion”, which has resulted in mass-production of synthetic textiles, contributes to the annual accumulation of half a million tons of microplastics on the ocean floor – as washing a single load of polyester clothing can discard 700,000 microplastic fibers (that end up in the food chain as well). It is my intention to help awaken, inspire and provide customers with beautiful and “care-fully” repurposed treasures that make purchasing “environmentally responsible”, an absolute delight.
